Amanda Overmyer Rocks American Idol

Amanda Overmyer didn't try and be someone she wasn't on Round 1 of American Idol. Amanda Overmyer came out with her hard rock sound and blew the crowd and the judges away with a beautiful performance.

Amanda had a great stage performance and really commanded the stage. Don't you think so? Likely it comes from years of performing with a band in Indiana.

Randy Jackson was in love with Amanda's pants. I'll be he'll show up with a pair just like hers later on in the American Idol season 7.

Will Amanda Overmyer move on to Round 2? I believe she's safe this time around. You do have to remember that American Idol crowd is more of a Pop music crowd. Just look at what happened to Chris Daughtry last year! As it turns out, he's one of the most successful Season 6 American Idol performers and he's a rocker, not a Pop singer.

At the end of the day, it's up to the American Idol viewers to decide whther or not we see Amanda Overmyer back next week, I sure hope we do!

Well, Amanda Overmyer has done it! Amanda Overmyer made the cut and is now in the top 24 finalist of American Idol! Amanda is known as "The Rock N Roll Nurse". She has a very good rock n roll female voice and we're glad she made the top 24 on american idol!

Amanda is a motorcycle riding chic from Indiana. She traveled all the way to Atlanta to audition for American Idol. For her American Idol audition, she sang a song that appeared to fit her nicely, "Mean Woman" by Janis Joplin. We wish you the best Amanda, but we don't want to see you follow Janis' footsteps!

During Hollywood week, Amanda Overmyer sang "Light My Fire" which is an old song by the Doors. Amanda is really showing that she has a wide range of songs which she can choose from.

What was more shocking, to many audience watchers as well as the judges, was Amanda Overmyers reaction when the judges told her that she had made the top 24. She just sit there kinda mellow and thanked them. It was funny to watch.

As I told ya'll earlier, Amanda Overmyer was injured in a car accident just prior to showing up for her American Idol audition. Her car collided with an 18-Wheeler in Logansport Indiana. Needless to say, her Ford Mustang was not match for the big rig and she was air lifted to Fort Wayne where she was later released with stitches in her head and bruised ribs.

Before auditioning for American Idol, Amanda Overmyer was the lead singer for a local Indiana rock band called Steeleto. Fitting isn't it? LOL

I hope Amanda Overmyer, our Rock & Roll Nurse, makes it all the way this year.

Amanda Overmyer is considered the "Rock N Roll Nurse" on the American Idol. This Gothic looking Nurse wrong the bells of the American Idol Judges with her Rock N Roll rendition. Amanda Overmyer was easily sent on to Hollywood.

Amanda Overmyer was involved in a serious car accident just prior to her audition. According to her, she was life flighted to the hospital. She said that she had some bruised ribs and 12 staples in her head.

Look for Amanda Overmyer to go far in the American Idol competition. Amanda Overmyer has that hard rock voice that sets her apart from many of the other Pop voiced contestants. Amanda could hopefully go as far as Chris Daughtery. And we all know, he should have been American Idol seeing how he's about the only one with a contract left!

Amanda Overmyer's only mystery is what she will show up dressed like next!
